Got my "Limited Edition" t-shirt oredi! And I'm not thrill about it. It's ugly,white, unisex sizes, with spots and it costs THIRTY-EIGHT BUCKS! It's a total waste of money for a tshirt which even my 1 yr old cousin can design! And they paid THIRTY-EIGHT BUCKS for it! Ok, who cares...Doesn't come out of my pay....Or mayb it does...I pay my taxes,you know! Humph...

It's gng to b a bz weekend, followed by a bz month of Nov! Argh! Dey have officially ruined my 2nd favourite month of the year! Why? Coz it's my birthday month!

I'm praying hard that the month would pass by faster and bring Dec earlier, coz that's when d bonus and d holidays come in! Plus, I can start planning for all my year-end parties....

I really shud consider setting up a minor party-planner business. I won't charge much and you don't have to worry about a thing! I know the hassle and fuss over planning a party. It's a major headache, but I love it!

Hmm...I should set up a proposal for my sponsor aka my hubby! Hee...

World Water Monitoring Day 2008

Took leave yesterday for supposedly important issue. At last, it didn't happen and I still have to wait. For how long...I dunno. I felt like strangling a few ppl but I didn't. I'm awfully proud of myself that I was able to control my temper and react in a rational manner.

Although what was supposed to happen did not happen, Hubby and I was determined to make it a fruitful day. We went to TC to reconfirm the situation. Next to TM n CS where I did a mini shopping,headstart for new year's gifts. Kiasu maaa...

We went to Taka to get presents for Hijri. Somehow after looking going to ToysRUs,Kiddy Palace and other kids stores, nothing pleases us. So at Taka, we actually buy not 1 but 3 toys for him!! Which amounted to....actually quite cheap la..hahaha....Gonna wrap them up and Sunday will be the big party for him.

After shopping for the toys and browsing at Big Boys toys for AM...Boys will be boys...We headed to Cineleisure for Max Payne movie....It was...mm...confusin at first. But by end of the show, I finally got it! Yea I'm slow =P
I'm in overdose of action movie...Can we catch a comedy or musical or love story next please?!?!

So now I'm back at work....Juz to find out tat I will only be working for halfaday. There's an afternoon seminar to attend. So yea me! More rest time!

As usual....alot to update bt no time to update them. i've loads of pictures to upload and yet...nvr found the time.

We're gng into d 2nd wk of Raya. I dun tink I have the time to finish all. I'm getting busier n busier at work. Then at home, I just want to lay back n relax n juz sleep. I dun even go to the gym nemore..And wen I went on Friday, I gave up after only 20 mins. My stamina is gone.

I did however still went thru my Women Day out workout. It was so hot and humid n d workouts so hard!! I love the goodie bag tho. As usual,lots of great stuff....

Caught tat movie Eagle Eye. Not bad. Sort of like IRobot. I slept for 30 mins into d movie for 15 mins. Mayb the story was too draggy or I was juz plain tired. Good show.. shud go n watch it.

Went out of the house at 5.45am!!
Where was I off to? Johor lor...So early? Ya lor... wanted to save $20 and beat the jam and and and....kiasu maaa....

Waited for mom to enter JB at 8am...She finally reached ard 8.30am. Managed to catch some winks while waiting for her. One minor hiccup...In the midst of getting ready, with my eyes closed, I had left my wallet at home..Lucky hubby has $$ with him....But I had to limit my shopping spree...hur hur hur...

We wanted to get our cars waxed and vacuumed for Hari Raya but the weather wasn't on our side. It rained and stopped and threatened to rain again..So we din want to risk it.

Our first mission then changed to finding a decent toilet!! Haha! Mission complete after the 3 stop! Yea!

Next stop was Mydin, to get some Raya cookies...Yea, my parents insist on getting some readymade cookies. Hmph. Der wasn't much variety there dis year. We managed to only get 6,7 types. Managed to get songkok for Hijri. Juz have to figure out how to make it stick on his head since he always pulls it off and throw it to the ground :S

Made our way to Tebrau City Jaya Jusco...Our second trip there, hubby's first...It reminds me of Vivocity...

More cookies there. Got our dose of Dunkin donut, yeah! While at Jusco, we saw a few Bum Equipment bags...on 50-70% off ley!! juz jumped on the chance...All 3 of us bought a bag, mom,me and adik! really love the bags... Din realised Bum has such nice and cheap bags...Mine was ard S$30! Got some Raya cards...Cutez....Gonna give my frens @ work...Last year I prepared some mini ketupats and a mini Raya card...This year, I think I'll juz go traditional. Give them real cards! hahahah.....

At the 3 floor...we had to "up" our willpower... Coz we saw Kenny Rogers, RasaMas, Chicken Rice shop, Pizzahut and other yummy restaurants with yummy sights and smell....Am even suggested that we shall make it a point to have meals der every other week after Ramadhan...Yea,rite...we shall see about that!

Our last stop was to Extra,where the food bazaar is at. Alot,alot,alot of food there. Murtabak, rojak,ikan bakar,puddingz, ayam percik,ayam golek,ayam penyet. tat ayam golek is really something else. It's actually juz roast chicken, but the way they roasted...wow! mouth-watering!Not cheap ok?! It cost RM16!...Buy this buy that.... We only left the place at 5.

Was so sure that we wud be caught in the jam...But Alhamdulillah, no major jam!! We were there and out in 20mins tops...Reached home at 630pm....Wah....12hrs day out....Im about to go nitey-nite now....

My first trip to Bazaar Geylang in Ramadhan. Disappointing.

First it rained...Heavily...Then it stopped raining....Then it rained again...and stopped...and rained and stopped...

Second, where are most of the food vendors?? Half of them are gone! I cudn't even find my 'Kebabom'! And wat's with d car sellers and their display of cars?? I think they cover about a third of the whole bazaar. Go this tent,cars..Go that tent, cars....Everywhere cars!!!

Of coz, dis won't make me not come to Bazaar Geylang anymore...I shall give it a 2nd chance...when the weather is good...

Next monday marks the start of Ramadhan. I always look forward to it... There's alot to be done from this year on. I hv to perfect my baking skills and do more interesting cookies. Bt hubbie likes traditional cookies...I'm gng to have to attend courses on baking! Hahah... My mission this year...To make 'Ducky Kuih Tat'. If it turns out nice,cute and most importantly,yummy, I will open up business and sell of my duckies!

I'm soooooooo overly ambitious!

Now that we are into the 2nd half of the year, more major events, more tasks, more headaches. Bt whether I admit it out loud or not, I cant imagine work any other way... The constant need to be "on the ball", the last minutes changes, the urge to pull out our hair at the end of the day and the huge sigh of relief when it's all over, only for a brief second before you get on another ball and start doing everything over again....Tell me I'm mad....

I'm on full day time-off today. Yea Me!

I wun b back in the office till 18 Aug. Wow! That's like, more than half a month away. I deserve the getaway. The longer I am in the office, the more my heart is not in it. Coz I'm just worried and more anxious to finish smt else closer to my heart.

So when I get back to the office, I'm sure I'd be able to tackle work alot more efficiently. Hopefully...

There was an event at Pasir Ris Park Interperactive centre last Saturday. I was there to support it coz it was one of my adopters adoption launch. They were so into the whole save the river awareness things, and I am so proud of them.

Juz to share one of the highlights of the day...

This is little guy was seen near the carpark area by one of the photographers. They were excited to see such a rare sight out in the open, bt allowed it to slithered away peacefully. And tat's really the way it shud be with nature. See bt dun touch.

I really love to see nature in its own natural habitat. And so glad that it's not only the gov, bt also organisations and the public, doing smt to preserve the few places we hv left in Singapore.

I realised tonite how weak my heart actually is...OMG...i dunno how d other 2 'action terer' do it! Hmph....

Experience a new thing yesterday.

Went out with kaklong, adik n AM yesterday to National Museum. It's been like, 10,15 yrs since I last been to the place. Well, I din even go in.Juz outside.

NM were showing movies in open air.It was the last nite dey were featuring P Ramlee's movie. Yesterday dey showed Bujang Lapok. Great classic!

Went der early and manage to get a parking lot and oso a good place to watch the movie from.

After the show, kaklong was in d mood to go smwhr new, so AM brought us to this place called Spize,the makan place.It's located near pubs area. Nt a place me,kaklong and adik would ever go to. We are juz uncomfortable with such places. Bt we love Spize! It serves all sorts of variety of food. And also the weird names for d dishes n drinks. I had Black Spider aka coke float.N we all shared its Long John Special.Yummyz. AM said we shud try their burgers' sets. Mayb nxt time la...

Oh wait....so make tat 2 experiences last nite....

The performance on Sunday....Well,I nvr even get to watch it. After the GOH arrived and guests seated, we all juz hung back and waited for the latecomers. Afterwhich, we got to enjoy the food. Yummyz...

Neway, it all ended with the big angry Giant.Yup, tat's it...Tat's one artsy Giant....

Bt the very next day, I got sick. Like fever,flu,sore throat,cough. All mixed into 1...I shud prob blame it on the Giant. HMph.

SIWW is coming. And juz few days before, I got to know alot of news n buzz, related and not-related to it.

1) I'm involved in d event. All these while, we were only told to standby. Typical. This is always the way dey work.

2) I have to work on Sunday nite!! hur hur hur...So sian ley! If it's morning, I dun mind. Bt nite...Den monday work...OMG....

I desperately need a break and a holiday and yet, no PH ard the corner,except for national day! And I want to countdown to it, bt if I do tat means the time will seem shorter and THE OTHER major event will come faster! Not tat I'm not looking forward to it. I am....excited,estatic,thrilled beyond words even... but I'll be even more stress coz there's still 1000001 things to do.Oredi I feel the pressure,tho alot of things are pretty much settled liao...

Yesterday's trip to the PC show was good...The crowd wasn't so bad,either. Perhaps becoz it was d 1st day. Managed to complete our mission within 20 mins. Great deal!

Normally we avoid gng to any IT shows unless there's smt we need to get. Mostly coz the place can get really packed and moving ard to survey items is really out of the question! You have to do your research before you even go there to survey. And you really hv to grab the sales assistance attention for their help, instead of the other way around.

Went for dinner at Pizzahut. Surprisingly, MS was considered....empty....compared to the crowd over at Suntec.Can see GSS is not making a profit there....

On a different note...Collected my runner's kit yesterday too. Not satisfied with the service of the packers. Hmph. They are actually quite efficient bt their PR skills could do with abit of courtesy.

Oh yea...another run for me. Bt I've nt been practising at all this week, except for tdy.Coz there's an official SWB hr.Hope I can hold up. It's for 1 mile...So tat would make it 1.6km right? It'll be like a normal trip down Orchard, minus the shopping...Ok la, I can do it la! Go Me!

D sch holidays are here!!! Hooray!!

I'm not cheering coz that means I'm on holiday too..I'm cheering coz hellooooo to less crowded bus rides, less crowded train rides. Of coz I nvr hv to worry about nt finding a seat on d train,taking it at 1 of the start/end station.

Although, today I juz have to complain! I always doze off in d train.Catch up on a few zzz. Juz "tido-tido ayam". Newayz....I was seated next to this big, muscular fatty guy. Before we reached d 2nd station, he was already asleep. Ok....I tink I muz hv dozed off some time aft tat..Bt not for long....coz d brute kept knocking into me! And it's nt a soft-coz-I'm-asleep-sway. It's a I'm-really-in-a-deep-sleep-I-dunno-wat-I'm-doing-knock! GRRR....Dis went on all d way! And it almost went out of hand, wen he almost knocked into my breasts as I was fishing for my hp out of my bag. I wanted to smack him with my hp, bt I realized eyes were on us, anticipating wat I wud do next...Hmph. I did d next best thing. At my stop, before I stood to get out of the train, I swung my big bag delibrately into him.

Oh, I'm sure it didnt even hurt him 1 bit. Bt at least, I got to shake abit of the irritation off.

I'm seated there first...Dis man came along....And there is dis man,with a briefcase....Wat he do...He put his briefcase on his lap...Nothing wrong der...Everybody does tat...He puts his hands on the briefcase....Nothing wrong also...He went to sleep....His elbows are pointing out.

The holidays are here! Yea!! The last holiday till....I tink till Aug. OMG....Tat's a loooong way to go.

Especially since now I'm sort of busy,busy,busy at work. Finally I'm out and about on my own. Not a moment to lose,either. NYT juz told me that my reviewing is ongoing now. Guess I will knw the outcome either June/July. Hopefully it's good....

Worried about lotsa stuff. Review/Confirmation, events, SIWW, $$$, clients,etc.,etc.! Not to mention tat big event! But I can't show stress now. I have to maintain my coolness and also stay grounded. Wonder how long I'll last...hmm...

On another update...I met 2 other ex sec sch mates. Coincidentally...I wonder if it's gng to be a ritual. Suddenly ppl I've not seen for like....8 yrs are popping up everywhere. N d first n main question dey asked never failed to amuse me. Am I married? I wanted to jump back out and say why?Do i look married? Bt den, I'd be accused of being over defensive. I juz replied with a smile, Not yet....

Or shud I asn back...Oh yes I am....And I'm expecting baby No.5. Hah! I'd passed out if a mate was to blurt out smt like tat! Hahaha!

I made my lecturer's wish come true! I finally went to NUS!!! Yea, me!!
hahaahahah...Actually had an event der...It was for the nice people of SMRT. Seriously... dey're really nice and down to earth. Wen I went down to do set up d day before...one of the manager was around and kept asking if I needed help with my panels, even after I turned him down every single time. Den d next day, I was supposed to be der at 9am and was early so decided to take the norm bus bt it was super crowded. And he saw me walked in from the far away bustop. He asked me y I had taken the norm bus and not their SMRT shuttle service.Wen I told him I wasnt told of the service, he apologized n apologized n apologized. It was weird manning the exhibition alone bt the SMRT ppl who came stayed ard and chat with me once in a while till NYT came around. Really nice ppl. None of those nose-so-high-up-you-can-see-their-tiny-peabrain.

Neway, SMRT is going green...Did you know tat? After all these years, dey decided to go green....Suddenly, everyone wants a piece of the environment saving crap. Dun get me wrong...I tink it's wonderful that dey are finally aware and doing smt abt the environment. Can't help but wonder wat's d benefit for them and how long would their Save The Environment spirit last....Let's hope long enough,huh...

Yesterday's netball game was the best ever!! Most dramatic,even....

From the very start, we had to always find players for the games, since our best players were taken to join another group. I wanted to pull out from the very start, bt stayed on coz sm ppl convinced me to do so. Had I known, those ppl are very ppl that I'd end up finding replacements for, I'd sticked to my original plan.

It's nt easy playing with new players all the time too. Some of them are bossy and thinks they knw it all. Always commenting this and that.Very very agressive. And worse of all, they dun even want to pass the ball to me, wen I'm the only one free from the opponent...Wen dey finally decided to pass it one of those rare chances, it's always a stupid pass. And yet, dey still had the nerve to "coach". It's not like they are the better player... dey messed up pretty good too. Like passing the ball to the other team, juz coz d opponent used a cheap trick of calling out their names. Or throwing the ball more than 2/3 of the court. After so many times, U'd think dey'd learn the lesson.

Dey were only nice and smiling wen we won our only game. Wadehell... Such cheap sportsmanship.

During the last game, our Center was thrown out of the court for no sportsmanship. Wen he was finally allowed back onto the court, he asked vulgarly where he should stand. Even then, he threw the ball out of court wenever he had it. Well, we deserve the score beating...Hah! I'm juz very very glad. At least with the lost, I wun hv to play with such ppl any more. And believe me, u wun see me in court ever again.

Was on a Supervisory Management course for the past 3 wkdays. Not bad...The lecturer was good. First day of course, met a Sec Sch mate. In the short time, I managed to get an update of other sec sch mates. Really made my morning, knowing that we have all succeeded one way or another,in our working lives.

Neway, throughout the entire course, my lecturer kept on asking me questions,this n that,whenever he needed the younger generation's view. Oooook.....I dun tink I was the only young one der. And yet, he couldn't stop picking on me.But throughout the whole thing, I tink he learned more about me, and perhaps I've changed his mind about the younger generation.That we too,are considerate and rational and are of value.Can't say the same thing about the rest of the pakciks though.One even commented that we, the younger generation are only good for thing.To finish our parents $$$. That,to me,was a very cheap shot.

I'd like to prove to him that we would make better supervisors than any of the old pakciks around.Hmph.One of these days...

For the first time ever, I didn't miss anybody on the trip coz everyone was there, even AM. Usually wen I go on a trip, it's either I'm missing my mom or my dad,my siblings or AM. Bt everybody was there. So it was a great,fantabulous trip. Let's go for another!

We seemed to experiencing it on 1 March! My poor dears....We all woke up exceptionally early,despite it being a weekend and it was cold morning! We were determined to attempt the Tree Top Walk @ MacRitchie.

Picked up AM from his home and headed there. On the way, it started to drizzle. We tot it would pass and continued the journey, trying not to dampen our spirits. Wen we arrived,still drizzling....made our way across the tiny "bridge" and up the "dangerous" hill. We were very imaginative.As we reached the 0.5 marker, we were met by the sight of the beautiful MacRitchie, with a heavy-looking cloud coming our way! Wadehey....Couldn't continue on la. Siao ah...Bt we were still determined........to take our pictures la,nt the walk! As proof that we've actually set foot there and that we really did attempt to do the walk. Juz tat the weather wasn't on our side...Watodo..

Neway after that "walk", we felt we deserved a gooooood breakfast so we headed off to The Prata Place. With our pratas and hot,hot tea....And it was still raining....fuyooo

We caught the movie 'L saves the world'. Ok, I'm a fan of Death Note becoz of L...bt the spin-off movie is juz crappy. We could have spent our $$ better on 'Meet The Spartans' or some other movies.

Decided to go bowling and AM suggested Taman Jurong. Guess wat...the whole place was booked for some sec sch tornament and would only be opened to public from 7pm onwards.Ceh! So we decided to have some pizza buuttttttttt, the outlet only serves take-away order. So we weren't allowed to order. So weird, chasing us away like that! Couldn't we juz order take-away, bt eat it there, since there were like, 3 tables all set up oredi?? Only the beloved Mc was reliable....until we all sat down n realised that all of us were low on cash! We could only muster up with $23! Pathetic rite! hur hur hur....Bt nonetheless, we had a good feast with 6 Double hamburgers, 2 large fries and 2 large coke.

With food,family and good-hearted laughter...what more could I ask for...

I would never even take the bus to work but today, I was forced to. The train service frm Pasir Ris till Tanah Merah was unaccessible. Urgh. Technical faults,dey say. And provided shuttle services and from what the radio reported, it was chaotic...
I settled for...tat Express bus.

ooook....first of all, I wasnt sure what it wud b coming and waited a whole 30 mins for it!!!Den, it was those kinda bus where seats are limited, more standing space. I had to stand all the way!!! Ok, so I had to go through the slight jam at PIE. Worry worry worry, sore feet sore feet sore feet....

And voila~! Surprisingly, I reached work at 8.10! The usual time I would arrive if i were to take the mrt.humph.

So...take feeder bus-mrt,get a seat, 1 hr journey....

I'd still opt for the feeder bus-mrt....so i can at least rest my eyes n butt!! Hahah....Im soooo pampered. Well, at least now I know, if I overslept, I'd still b able to make it to work on time...

How wud you describe a beautiful morning? Sunshine? Birds chirping? Morning dew? Green trees and flowers?

Imagine this...You're in the office...Soundproof glass window...Looking out,you see....buses...cars, motorcycles..Driving in an order....Next to the road, a group of school kids,having their PE lesson...A mother carrying her half-asleep girl,probably on their way to the nursery...You look up..buildings,buildings and more buildings...Of different size,shape and height. There's light...Sunshine....Squinting up, a plane juz flew by,as if it flew juz under the sun...Everything and everyone moving,doing their own thing. Noisy,definitely...Bt in your office, everything outside moves seemingly with silence...

My very own silent movie..Perfect? Not really...Beautiful? Yea, to me, it is...

Today, for the first time ever...I jogged from City Hall, all the way to Clarke Quay,non-stop. And it wasn't even for any marathon!

Another triumph, I seem to have better stamina than Kaklong...

Didnt realize what 2008 has in store for me till yesterday. Reality check.

It's the 5th day of the year and already Im having tat weird,weird feeling. I want to go that quiet corner n hug myself safe from whatever 2008 is bringing me.
